Willkommen: Studio 54 Becomes The Kit Kat Club

Willkommen Back! The Kit Kat Klub has returned to Broadway as Roundabout Theatre Company proudly revives the 1998 production of Cabaret this spring on Broadway starring Alan Cumming and Michelle Williams! Cabaret which features music by John Kander, lyrics by Fred Ebb and a book by Joe Masteroff tells the story of a young cabaret performer who falls for an American writer and develops a relationship with him. Their begins at the Kit Kat Klub in Berlin in 1931 just as the Nazi’s are rising to power. This production of Cabaret is very specifically stylized and environmental which requires the theatre to be turned into the Kit Kat Klub for all performances. While the production is still over a month away until previews begin, work has already begun turning to theatre into the historic nightclub from the show.Today, Luner on Theatre brings you a look behind the scenes at Studio 54 as it is transformed into The Kit Kat Klub!
